How to Book a Short Course
HOW TO BOOK A COURSE
To book a course please download the booking form below, complete and send with your payment to (you do not have a place on the course until we receive a completed booking form):

NB: Some courses require that you submit a sample of work or a cv before you will be admitted. Please see individual course pages for details.
PAYMENT OF FEES
All course fees are payable in advance and can be paid by cheque, credit card or company invoice (please provide your payment details on the booking form). If you are eligible you can also pay your course fees with an ILA Account (please see below for details). We regret that once a course has started full or partial refunds are not available.
PAYMENT OF FEES BY CREDIT CARD OVER THE PHONE
In order to comply with University Finance regulations, we now require that all credit card payments be made over the telephone. Please indicate on your form that you intend to pay by credit card and when we have received your booking form (either by email or post) and confirmed your place on the course we will contact you to organise payment of your fees by phone.
Please note that as a higher education institution we do not charge VAT.

USING AN ILA TO FUND YOUR SHORT COURSE
In order to use an ILA account to pay your course fees you must provide an active ILA number on your course booking form at least 10 working days prior to the start date of the course.
HOW ILA WORKS
Once we have received your active ILA Account number, we will register you on your course on the ILA website. This will trigger a paper voucher to be sent to the address you have provided to ILA Scotland. To complete the payment of your fees you must sign and send us the voucher as soon as possible, preferably before the start date of your course. In order to qualify for the reduced concession fee, you must supply a copy of a document showing you receive one of the following:
• Income based Job Seekers’ allowance
• Income Support
• Working Tax Credit
• Pension Credit
• Housing Benefit
• Council Tax Benefit
• Fulltime Student (Student ID)
You can also pay concession rate if you are a Screen Academy Scotland graduate from Napier or eca or a member of staff from eca or Napier.
Please email your proof of concession to info [at] screenacademyscotland [dot] ac [dot] uk or drop into the Screen Academy Office 2A Merchiston Avenue, Edinburgh EH10 4NU in advance of the course start date.
A fee of £25 is payable for all course cancellations within 10 working days or less prior to the start date of a course. If you cancel a course 5 working days or less prior to the start date, full course fees will be charged. Payment will be taken from credit card details that you have been provided or an invoice will be raised by Edinburgh Napier University.
Our cancellation policy reflects the need to confirm participant numbers in advance of the course start date in order to assess whether a course can run or not. In the event that Screen Academy Scotland cancels a course, your fees will be fully refunded. We will endeavour to let you know no less than 5 working days prior to the start of the course if this is going to happen.
