Marc Campbell As a Screen NETS trainee Marc wants to gain more experience working with a Digital Image Technician (DIT) and get a greater understanding of the role which will help move his career forward. He worked on the feature film Not Another Happy Ending produced by Synchronicity Films, directed by John McKay and starring Dr Who's Karen Gillan, and Case Histories Season 2 starring Jason Isaacs. Marc finished his time with Screen NETS working on Sunshine On Leith, the film of the musical featuring songs from The Proclaimers, Produced by DNA Films and Black Camel, directed by Dexter Fletcher, and starring Peter Mullan. Lewis McInnes As a Screen NETS Lewis wanted to gain more knowledge of tapeless shooting and the role of the D.I.T., as well as provide him with a career boost. Lewis worked on Under the Skin starring Scarlett Johansson directed by Jonathan Glazer (Sexy Beast), with DIT Mark Purvis from Mission Digital. Where is he now? Lewis' supervisor on Under the Skin, Mark Purvis, liked Lewis so much that he gave him a job with Mission Digital after his Screen NETS work placement ended. Fraser Denholm Fraser was supported with his Career Development through Screen NETS and he attended the Role of the DIT short course and a bespoke camera assistant course with cameraman John Harper. Fraser was also able to spend 3.5 weeks as a DIT trainee on The Railway Man, adapted by Frank Cottrell Boyce and starring Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman. Previous to Screen NETS Fraser worked as a freelance filmmaker and he developed digital workflows and data wrangling system for Canon 7D & FCP . His freelance projects include for Science and Culture, Scottish Refugee Week and on the Music Video “Ropes” for Indian Red Lopez and his broadcast credits include Taggart, River City and 2000 Acres of Sky. Fraser continues to work as freelance filmmaker and is currently shooting and editing a documentary on dance, financed by Creative Scotland. |

Paul Forest Paul was supported with Career Development through Screen NETS and as a Screen NETS trainee Paul has completed courses in First Aid, Risk Assessment for Film & TV, Introduction to HDSLR Filmmaking, and a bespoke camera assistant course with cameraman John Harper. Previous to Screen NETS, Paul worked as a Camera Trainee on River City, Shed Media’s Young James, Pramface, and as Assistant on two music videos for A Band Called Quinn and The Unsinkable Boxer. He also worked a couple of days on feature film Filth as B-Camera trainee. Paul has just finished working as a Camera Trainee on MI High and is now working as a Camera Assistant on River City. |
