Grant Butler As a Screen NETS trainee Grant wanted to use his time shadowing a 2nd AD on a large film productions and to gain more experience/make new contacts. He worked with the 2nd AD on feature films Under the Skin starring Scarlett Johansson and directed by Jonathan Glazer (Sexy Beast); Filth, an adaptation of an Irvine Welsh novel, directed by Jon S Baird and starring James McAvoy and Jamie Bell; and Not Another Happy Ending produced by Synchronicity Films, directed by John McKay and starring Dr Who's Karen Gillan. Grant also completed short courses in Risk Assessment on Film & TV Productions (Production Safety Passport) and Moviemagic Scheduling and Budgeting Where is he now? Abi Ross Abi is being supported with Career Development through Screen NETS with bespoke training and mentoring from 2nd AD Alison Goring. Abi has also completed a short course in Moviemagic Scheduling and Budgeting Abi has worked as a floor runner on Foundation TV’s Dani’s House, Shed Media’s Young James, Pramface, and Citadel for Sigma Films. She worked as Crowd PA/SET PA on Cloud Atlas, and most recently worked on Murder, a drama pilot for BBC TV produced by Touchpaper TV. She is currently working as a floor runner on Waterloo Road. |
