Passa Sabi (“Good Times”) is the name of a café in Cova da Moura, a neighbourhood on the outskirts of Lisbon, which despite its use as a drug market is also a dynamic immigrant community. Fatinha, a Cape Verdian woman, runs the café and takes driving lessons in her spare time. However business is bad these days and the pressures are mounting. But with her extended family to support Fatinha is determined to turn her situation around and won’t let anyone stand in her way. A portrait of contemporary Lisbon that you won’t find on the Discovery Channel.
