Two BA (Hons) Photography and Film graduates from 2013 have work in the Edinburgh International Film Festival 2016.
Karel Dolak edited the feature film Pikadero, directed by Scottish director Ben Sharrock. This is an absurdist comedy romance set amongst young people in the Basque country against a background of economic crisis. It has been described as highly choreographed, and visually striking. The film premiered at the San Sebastian Film Festival last September, and went on to win the Critics Choice Award at the Zurich Film Festival. Pikadero is screening in Cineworld 11 on Sunday June 11th at 20:55, and on Wednesday June 22nd at 18:00.
Katri Vanhatalo’s short film The Soloist is screening in the programme of Shorts from Finland in Cineworld 5 on Wednesday June 22nd at 18:20.
