Two Screen Academy Scotland, ECA graduates have been shortlisted for prestigious Grierson Awards for their feature documentaries, both of which were developed while they were studying on the MFA Film Directing programme. Lou McLoughlan’s 16 Years till Summer is up for Best Newcomer Documentary. Lou’s film was also nominated earlier in the year for a Scottish BAFTA for Best Feature and is based on the short film “ Caring for Callum” which Lou made while studying for her MA in 2011. Scott Harris’ Being Ginger is up for Best Entertaining Documentary . Being Ginger was developed from a short Scott made also made whilst at ECA he also graduated in 2011.
