The anticipation is building as BAFTA Scotland announces its nominations for the 2024 awards, shining a spotlight on the remarkable talent and creativity flourishing within the Scottish film and television industry. This year’s nominees encompass a diverse range of outstanding productions, showcasing the richness of Scottish storytelling and the artistry of its creators. Categories range from Best Film to Best Television Drama, featuring both established names and emerging talents. The nominations not only highlight individual achievements but also the collaborative spirit of the industry, emphasizing the importance of supporting local productions. 

We are proud to share that Jagoda Tłok’s Screen Academy Scotland BA (Hons) Film graduating film Care has been selected for the Short Film category and graduate Niamh McKeown in Fiction Director and TV Scripted categories for Dinosaur. Also, congratulations to graduates: Debora Maité Bottino and Katie Mallinder for their selection in the Short Film Category with their film You Land. Finally, congratulations to Andrew O’Connor as DOP on the short film Blackwool
