Congratulations to Ben Sharrock and Irune Gurtubai, (MFA Advanced Film Practice, Screen Academy Edinburgh Napier) for winning TWO BAFTA New Talent awards for their graduation film Patata Tortilla. At a glittering awards ceremony last night at Glasgow’s Arches, the film picked up the best Drama award. Ben Sharrock also picked up the award for best Writing for his screenplay for Patata Tortilla.
The film, which was shot on location in Irune’s native Basque country tells the story of a couple struggling to maintain their relationship in the current economic crisis in Spain. It was edited by Screen Academy graduate and tutor Karel Dolak. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!
