Edinburgh Napier University Film and TV students have been busy in production with the Bloody Big Documentary. The film is part of the student led Bleeding Saor project highlighting interventions around period poverty and menstrual health in Scotland and internationally – in Uganda. On March 3rd, the film team documented the hugely popular Bloody Big Brunches on International Women’s Day which were held at all 3 Napier campuses. This month the team are filming with contributors in Edinburgh and Glasgow and in June they go to Uganda for a month to film with women and girls in and around Kampala.

Bleedin’ Saor – is an interdisciplinary collaborative founded in 2018 to raise awareness of period poverty and end the stigma surrounding that ‘time of the month.’
