Directed by Robert Carlyle, The Legend of Barney Thomson opens the 2015 Edinburgh International Film Festival tonight. The screenplay was written by Colin McLaren one of the regular guest tutors and mentors at Screen Academy Scotland. The film was shot in Glasgow and starts Carlyle as a reluctant killer and Emma Thompson as his foul-mouthed Glaswegian mother.
