Great news that after screening across the UK, including most recently at Edinburgh Filmhouse, Chico Pereira’s award-winning feature film Donkeyote will be screening in Dundee, Inverness and Orkney.

Donkeyote tells the story of Manuel Molera Aparicio and his ten year old Andalusian donkey, Gorrión. Against the advice of his doctor, 76 year old Manuel plans one last walk re-tracing the Trail of Tears, the brutal forced 2200 mile march by the Native American Cherokee Nation. Written and directed by Chico with cinematography by long time collaborator (and fellow Screen Academy graduate) Julian Schwanitz, Donkeyote was co-produced by Chico Pereira, Igmar Trost and Sonia Henrici of the Scottish Documentary Institute.

Donkeyote is the much anticipated follow up to Chico Pereira’s award winning Pablo’s Winter  which was his graduation film for the MFA Advanced Film Practice at Screen Academy Scotland, Edinburgh Napier and screened at over 40 festivals world wide garnering a host of awards.
