On Friday 29th January we were delighted to welcome Edinburgh Napier University Principal, Andrea Nolan, to the Screen Academy Scotland Production Centre on Merchiston Avenue. She visited Screen Academy, Edinburgh Napier as part of her visit to the School of Arts and Creative Industries, at Merchiston Avenue and accompanying her were the Head of School Pauline Miller Judd and Interim Director of Screen Academy Scotland Alistair Scott.
During her visit which lasted approximately 45 mins The Principal saw a variety of activities taking place. In Studio 1 a 2nd Year BA Film class took part in a Film Adaptation workshop led by Andrew Connor and in Studio 2 the Principal interacted with students on the MA Screenwriting course. In the Dubbing Suite MFA Advanced Film Practice student Robin Haigh and Sound Technician Ross Buchanan demonstrated what was involved in doing a sound dub using Robin’s recent MFA AFP graduation film Hula as case study. Hula was recently nominated for a BAFTA in Scotland New Talent Award for Best Drama.
