Horror film Baobhan Sith the first feature film of Screen Academy alumni David Hutchison will have its premiere at Horror-On-Sea 2017 horror film festival in Southend-on-sea on 29th Jan. It will also be screening at the Banshee Labyrinth, Edinburgh Sat 4th Feb at 5pm. The film was partly filmed at the Banshee Labyrinth so it is a fitting venue for its first public screening in Edinburgh! The screening is free and not bookable so come early if you want a seat.
Baobhan Sith was co-produced by Screen Academy Alumna Lindsay McGee and David Hutchison and three of the main actors are Edinburgh Napier alumni Daniel Campbell, Larah Bross and April-Wendy Hayes.
Baobhan Sith tells the story of a filmmaker and her estranged daughter who are coerced to try and remove a family curse. Inspired by the kidnapping of South Korean film director Shin Sang-ok and his wife Choi Eun-hee who were forced to make films for North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il and the legend of the celtic demon the Baobhan Sith.
