Screen Academy Scotland is a collaboration between Edinburgh Napier University and Edinburgh College of Art, dedicated to fostering the future of film makers and is one of only three Film Academies (along with the London Film School and the National Film and Television School) in the UK recognised by Creative Skillset as a centre of excellence in film practice education.
We offer practice based postgraduate filmmaking programmes which develop personal creativity and professional skills through direct contact with industry practices, people and expectations. After graduation we offer a range of post-qualification support including career planning and further training opportunities.
Since it was formed in 2005 Screen Academy Scotland has established a track record of graduates going on to work in the industry following their postgraduate degree. We have helped hundreds of writers, directors and producers make their mark on the page, on the set and on the screen.
