Matt Lloyd Masterclass – Film Festival Insights
Matt Lloyd, Director of Glasgow Short Film Festival, recently joined us at Screen Academy to share his insights on festival submissions, short film distribution strategy, developing a social media profile and sales opportunities for short film. His masterclass was part of the ‘What’s NExt Workshops’ which were laid on in early September for our graduating MAs and MFAs. Sessions on the day included ‘How to set yourself up as a freelancer’ and ‘Career Opportunities and how to market yourself’ also a panel discussion with three Screen Academy Graduates ‘The Freelancer Story’ where 3 recent alumni described their own route to industry, the highs the lows and everything in between.
