Fantastic news that Nowhere Yet, Gabriel Bagnaschi’s Screen Academy Scotland MA Film, directing, graduation film has been selected for the British Urban Film Festival 2018. The film will screen there in June 2018. It will be part of the Life and Death shorts programme at Oxford House, Derbyshire Street, Bethnal Green, London E2 6HG on Wednesday 6 June, 12noon – 4.00pm. The strand includes 13 short film screenings and Q&A’s will follow each short. In January Nowhere Yet had its UK premiere at the London Short Film Festival where it screen in the My Masks strand.

Nowhere Yet tells the story of T.T. a teenage boy living in a tough Edinburgh neighbourhood who has to figure out how far he’s willing to go to save his breakdancing crew when his best friend starts pushing for a street gang.

The film was shot on location in Edinburgh with fellow students from Screen Academy Scotland’s MA Film crewing on the film, including CO-WRITER Linn Sunniva Høglund, DOP Árpád Horváth, PRODUCER Laura McBride, EDITOR Dan Johnson, FIRST ASSISTAN DIRECTOR(S) Sean Hind, Katri Anna-Leena Helena Vanhatalo, Neill Prentice, SCRIPT EDITOR Paul Cahill, 1st ASSISTANT CAMERA Nico Biarese, 2nd ASSISTANT CAMERA Iguácel Cuiral, STEADYCAM OPERATOR Davor Marenjak, GAFFER Kevin Grossett.

On March 8th the trailer for Nowhere Yet was also featured as “reel of the day” on Timetoriot too, a directory for filmmakers.
