Screen Academy Scotland is celebrating two decades of developing talent and supporting distinctive storytelling across film and television.

Founded in 2005 by Edinburgh Napier University in partnership with Edinburgh College of Art, the Academy has grown into Scotland’s largest film school. Its practice-led courses bring together undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in film, television and acting, preparing students to build successful careers across the screen industries.

To mark its 20th anniversary, Screen Academy Scotland will present a special programme at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on Saturday 15 August. The screening at Cineworld Fountain Park will feature five student short films and two films made by staff, exploring subjects ranging from the environmental impact of filmmaking to emerging technology.

The anniversary is also an opportunity to celebrate the students, graduates and staff whose work has reached audiences at major festivals and through award-winning film and television productions.
