Edinburgh, Scotland – Seven graduates from Screen Academy Scotland have been chosen for the inaugural Sean Connery Talent Lab, launched in February 2024. This prestigious program aims to foster emerging filmmakers through mentorship and collaboration with industry professionals.

The selected graduates are Katriona Tweedie, Sam J Thomson, Katie Mallinder, Fiann MacLeod, Vasilieos Kapnis, Joséfa Celestin, and Fraser Ballantyne. Each has demonstrated exceptional creativity and skill during their studies, with a diverse range of storytelling approaches.

The Lab will run for several months, featuring workshops and mentorship sessions that cover various aspects of filmmaking. Participants will culminate the experience with a showcase event presenting their projects to industry professionals and potential investors.

As the first cohort embarks on this journey, the film community eagerly anticipates the fresh perspectives that will emerge from the Sean Connery Talent Lab.
