While attending ECA Soran Qurbani (MA Film Directing, Screen Academy Scotland, ECA) has continued to make documentaries, one Homage to Kobane which was released by a Spanish broadcaster in January, is about Kurdish female fighters in Rojava, Syria. A second short film Bread is Gone Single Voice, is being co-produced with the Scottish Documentary Institute and has just been sent to Marseille and Sheffield film festivals. Currently Soran is in Spain working on a final cut for a 52min TV documentary on the Mosul operation in Iraq, that will soon be released in Spain and hopefully Latin America.
