We are delighted that Transit Zone the graduate film of Frederik Subei (Screen Academy, ECA) has advanced to the semifinals in the Foreign Documentary category of the 43rd annual Student Academy Awards.
Frederik Subei’s documentary, Transit Zone, about the lives of refugees in the Jungle near the port of Calais, is going from strength to strength showing in festivals nationally and internationally and was recently awarded a Special Jury Mention at one of the most prestigious documentary film festivals in the world, Visions du Reel in Switzerland.
In a year in which the Academy received a record 1,749 film submissions, Transit Zone’s lastest success is a real achievement and putting it in roughly in the top 5% of all films submitted.
