On 22 January 2017, Vincent Förster’s (MA Film Directing, Screen Academy Scotland, ECA) documentary The Wound That Needs To Be Healed had its Greek premiere at the 3rd Peloponnese International Documentary Festival in Kalamata, Greece. The film is an exploration of the Spanish-Moroccan borderspace around the Spanish exclave Ceuta, which is located on Morocco’s Northern coast and together with Melilla the only land border Europe shares with the African continent.
In February Vincent secured work at the Berlin International Film Festival as the personal assistant to the Programme Director of Berlinale Talents and has now been invited to speak at an Arts Industry Panel (along with Diane Henderson from Edinburgh International Film Festival, Colin Bradie from Creative Scotland’s Time To Shine) as part of On the Rocks, Scotland’s largest student-run arts festival which takes place in St. Andrews for ten days from 31st of March. Vincent will be representing documentary filmmakers in Scotland.
