Screen Academy Scotland MFA Advanced Film Practice student Cecilia Perez Homar’s short Women in Vaiven will screen at SQUIFF (Scottish Queer International Film Festival) which runs from 29th Sept – 2nd October at CCA in Glasgow. Women in Vaiven which was Cecilia’s graduation film for the MA Film degree at Edinburgh Napier University tells the story of Zoe, who on the morning of her wedding in Puerto Rico struggles to fit into her grandmother’s wedding dress and is visited by her dead mother to wish her luck. Another short by Cecilia Bathroom Break is also screening and both films will be shown as part of SQIFF Shorts: Queer Scotland II on October 2nd.

Screen Academy Scotland at SQUIFF
Screen Academy Scotland will be at SQUIFF (Scottish Queer International Film Festival) this year along with Scottish Documentary Institute and Scottish Film Talent Network on the panel for the Event SQIFF: Film Funding and Training In Scotland Workshop which is taking place Sept 29th.
