Great news that Cecilia Perez Homar (MA Film, Screen Academy Edinburgh Napier) has won a special mention from the Jury at the Scottish Queer International Film Festival (SQUIFF) 2016 for her graduation film Women in Vaiven .
Women in Vaiven which was Cecilia’s graduation film for the MA Film degree at Edinburgh Napier University tells the story of Zoe, who on the morning of her wedding in Puerto Rico struggles to fit into her grandmother’s wedding dress and is visited by her dead mother to wish her luck. Another short by Cecilia Bathroom Break also screened as part of SQIFF Shorts: Queer Scotland II on October 2nd.
