The Zealot directed by current MFA Advanced Film practice student Ben Sharrock has been selected for the Early Bird Student Film Festival in Bulgaria and is in competition for the Best Fiction Film. The film was produced by current MFA Advanced Film practice student Irune Gurtubai and edited by Edinburgh Napier BA Film graduate and lecturer Karel Dolak.
“Early Bird” is a festival for students of Film Arts who wish to present their projects to colleagues and a broader audience and to share their knowledge and doubts challenging the world. The festival gives the audience an opportunity to meet closely with art, ideology and aestetics of young filmmakers. Furthermore in a unique way it is a place for exchange of experience and ideas while gives the participating students and teachers opportunities for additional training through master classes and workshops. Their goal is to create an unique forum for international students in the field of short films.
The screening will take place tomorrow 8th November 2014.
