Is a Lecturer in Film History, Theory, and Criticism at Edinburgh Napier University. He is the author of Film Authorship: Auteurs and Other Myths (2010) and has published in journals including Screen, Living Pictures, Film and Philosophy, The Journal of Aesthetics and Art Criticism, and the Journal of Media Law.
