David Griggs

Has a background in Visual Anthropology, Documentary Production and Web Design. He has produced and directed documentaries in Lesotho, RSA, consulted in Web based productions for Health Online Project and JISC as well as making short documentaries for Learning and Teaching Scotland. He consulted on the web presence with Hopscotch Films for Mark Cousins ‘Story of FIlm’ and has developed the Screen Academy Scotland website which he runs. 

Presently he is involved in the production of ‘Word Made Flesh’ a series of interviews directed by Devlin Crow for the MS Society where he has consulted and been DOP and Editor. He was the researcher for Media Masters Online and continues his interests in online pedagogy in his role as Learning Contents Developer. 

For the last 12 years he has been lecturing on the subject of interactivity and running the Interactive Media Module, focusing on Virtual Worlds, Alternate Reality Games, Pervasive Gaming and Web 2.0 tools, Crowdsourcing and Crowdfunding and The Internet of Things. David was external examiner on the BA Hons Interactive at The University of The Highlands and Islands. He continues his research and interest in Interactive Story mechanisms.
