Kate Davidson is a screenwriter who lectures and works on script development across Napier’s MA Screenwriting and BA Film and Television programmes.  

Kate has written episodes for a range of television series including C4’s Hollyoaks, BBC’s Doctors and Netflix’s The A List. She has also worked to develop original drama series with a range of independent production companies including Sweden’s SVT, BBC Studios and ITV Studios. Her jousting show Wars of the Roses: Live! has been staged at Warwick Castle each summer since 2017 and her other plays have been performed at the Edinburgh Fringe, Almeida, Byre Theatre, London Pleasance, and Leicester Square Theatres. She received a BA Drama and Theatre Studies from Trinity College Dublin, an MA Creative Writing (Scripts) from City University, and also trained in physical theatre at L’Ecole Jacques LeCoq.

Kate is particularly passionate about helping newer writers to find their voice.
