Great news that short film Swan directed by Lindsay Brown and produced by Screen Academy Scotland graduate Anne Milne (MFA Film Directing, ECA) is one of three films nominated for the BAFTA Scotland award for Best Short Film. Swan was developed through Bridging the Gap, an opportunity for emerging filmmakers based at the Scottish Documentary Institute (SDI) and premiered at Edinburgh International Film Festival last June. The other two films nominated for Best Short were also from ECA graduates. Take your partners was directed by ECA BA Film and TV grad Siri Rodnes and produced by ECA UG grads Stuart Condy and Sara Forbes. Isabella was co-directed by ECA BA Film and TV grad Duncan Cowles and ECA BA Animation grad Ross Hogg. ECA MA lecturer, Amy Hardie’s film Seven Songs for a Long LIfe. produced by SDI is also up for Best Single Documentary.
