Programmes & Courses

The week of March 6th was Employability week at Edinburgh Napier University and on March 8th, International Womens’ Day, the School of Arts and Creative Industries including Screen Academy Scotland organised an inspirational Women in Film & TV event.  Showcasing women working across a variety of technical and craft roles in the film and television industry the event aimed to highlight the under representation of women in these roles and offer guidance to the next generation.

The panelists included DOP Nanu Segal, Sound Mixer Lucy Watt, Production Coordinator Jena Hunter, Camera Operator/DOP Kirstin McMahon and was chaired by Dr. Kirsten Macleod, lecturer Film & Television at Edinburgh Napier.

Many thanks to the panelists and also to the organisers Kirsten Macleod, School Placement Coordinator Lindsay Morgan, and Screen Academy Scotland Professional Practice Coordinators Kay Sheridan and Shian Holt. Thanks also to the many students who attended and contributed to this inspirational event!
