Catriona MacInnes trained as a performer and theatre maker at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and worked as an actor before going on to study film. Her first film I’m In Away From Here premiered in competition at the 65th Venice International Film Festival in 2008, and her second short A Cuillin Rising premiered at the 55th BFI London Film Festival in 2011. Her last short film Howls, produced by Samm Haillay (THIRD Films), was supported through the Scottish Film Talent Network (SFTN), part of the BFI NET.WORK, and and was nominated for best short Edinburgh International Film Festival, 2017. She is currently developing her first feature with Rebecca Mark-Lawson (Tyke Films) also supported by SFTN. Catriona developed a new draft of her feature length screenplay Gift From God through Bellrock in 2017.
